      (Kutchimudlo)   meaning   RED ROCK,

         red soil found here, but also because

              found on the south-west side
                  of the Quirky Cottages Island.

Coochiemudlo was used for farming in the early 1890s

Now Coochie has many holiday homes as well as full-time residents who commute daily to work on the regular half hour ferry service.


Today, Coochie is more popular than ever, mainly because
