Ragdolls  are listed in the "Guinness World Book of Records" as the largest domestic cat  . The male Ragdoll can reach over 20 pounds in weight that's nealry 10kg, making them one of the largest breeds of domestic cat. The smallest cat breed is the  Singapura and Calico . Calico  cats are unusual,  they have 3 distinct blocks of colour, black, orange and white, you can get variations of gray cream and ginger . Calico are almost always female. "Tortoise  shell" female cats have a more blended mix of these 3 colours. It's very, very, rare to find a male cat with 3 colours, because of feline male colour genes and chromosomes!!!! Cats love sitting on computers because when they are turned on, they are warm!!A cat will almost never meow at another cat. This sound is reserved for  humans. Some researchers believe cats use a higher frequency to relate to each other and have learned that we humans can't hear them in their natural range, so over time have adapted to "speak" to us in a much lower frequency so we can hear them.  eat, they always immediately clean  and wash  themselves . This is because their instinct tells them to get the food  scent off them, so that predators will not smell the food and come after them. Those people who managed to hide their cats from the authorities, were often those who survived the Black Plague. The cat uses it's tail like a
 tight-rope walker uses a long pole - as a counterweight to aid balance. Even though  the tail is useful for this, it is also used for communication purposes. Cats born without tails  do manage, though. There are other methods of balancing. Did you know, a cats
 whiskers can detect movements 2,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair? The oldest cat on records was Puss, from England who died in 1939, just one day after her 36th birthday! Spike  , a ginger tom, yet another cat from England, lived 'till he was 31 years of age and died in 2001. Apparently a lot of aloe vera was in his diet! Cats need one sixth of the amount of light that humans do, to see. Their night vision is incredible! Cats see so well in the dark because their eyes actually REFLECT light. Light goes in their eyes, and is reflected back out; their eyes actually work as built-in flashlights
