When coming to
Quirky Cottages on beautiful
Coochiemudlo Island
please pack these types of clothes and accessories ...
 matching hat and gloves diamante boots
evening purse ball gowns high heels ties & bow ties 
business shirts cufflinks tuxedo with top hat
fox fur (run & hide) very expensive jewellery and a lot of make up!!
And, as Gladys always says to Kevin,
"Don't forget your hanky Daarl..."
Only joshing! 
Coochie is extremely casual,though the boots would definitely catch a few smiles !!! 
   
Clothes for the kids, should be "play" clothes, as they all get filthy having FUN!!!!
Now for the serious "stuff" ....
Firstly,
it's important to buy all your groceries from a supermarket or
your favourite grocery store before you
come, as there is NO SUPERMARKET, deli or bakery on the island, though we do have a little corner store called
The Coochie "KIOSK" .
For Fruit and Veg...
Before you come, why not phone Ross from "Fruit Loops" on Coochie, he will fill your order and deliver it to your Quirky Cottage the day you arrive. One less thing to pack!! You will find the info about him on the main menu page!
Drinks Please remember, there is NO bottle shop on Coochie You must bring all your supplies with you .
Here are some menu ideas and "food" to consider bringing....
Why not spoil yourself with some really simple , yet delicious treats while you are on holiday....
Try something totally new!! Give you and your taste buds a memorable experience....like....
munching on pan fried brains
encrusted with macadamia nuts!! You will LOVE them!!!
Or stick with a few easy favourites,
like boiled baby potatoes with fresh salmon fillets to grill on the barbie!!
You could pack some...
thick slices of honey baked ham, succulent spinach or silverbeet
and big juicy mushrooms to enjoy with your freshly poached or fried  eggs!!
You could also buy some "easy" pancake mix or fresh waffles to toast for brekky or dessert!
Consider bringing these ingredients for a mouth watering topping!!
  Strawberries blueberries and bananas marinated in maple syrup, orange juice with hot butter and a splash of 
cointreau with fresh mascarpone.
Bring along some ooey gooey stinky cheeses, quince paste, fresh figs, fruit, bikkies and dips as well as some good ol' "cheezles" and "chips"
for nibbles.
Please remember basic condiments and spreads like... salt and pepper sauces
jams and Mum...,
don't forget the vegemite!!
If you don't feel like
cooking and would like a break, why not just bring easy pre-made fresh or frozen meals,
like lasagne or an assortment of pre- packed TV dinners and enjoy them with a quick and easy
fresh garden salad!. 79cent noodles won't hurt
the kids once in a while either! You can add a little tin of tuna or an egg on top for
added protein! Make it easy for yourself MUM!! You could even inspire the kids to create a meal for everyone, look up quirky recipes for kids on the main menu!

What to pack 
in the winter time...
Even though Coochiemudlo is a sub-tropical island, during winter we have been known to experience very cool evenings and mornings here.
There are reverse cycle air conditioners in all the cottages, as well as heaters though
it is actually a good idea to pack a warm jumper or windcheater, bed socks winter pjs, even throw in a
beanie or two
dressing gown or warm track suit, singlet and slippers. That way you will definitely stay comfy, cosy and....
" as snug as a bug in a rug".
You may look a complete dag, but who cares!!

What to pack.....
for on the Island
Bring casual comfortable walking shoes.
Shoes for tennis or golf .
If you own surf shoes, it's a good idea to bring them along for walking on the beach or even swimming .
Petrol Make sure you fill up with "gas" on the mainland. There is NO service station on the island so please bring with you a can of petrol, if you are staying a few weeks!
Personal entertainment...
Bring along your favourite music, cds, and dvds, old cassettes, 
A camera to capture those "precious" moments
For your personal use remeber to pack ....

Current novel you may be reading and glasses if you need them 
What to pack...
if staying a week or longer
Laundry Needs....
Extra "front load" washing powder for the washing machine if you will be staying a while
Extra dishwasher powder for cottages with dishwasher
What to pack.... just for fun!!!!
Bring at least different colours of cheap nail polish, mostly for the MEN, to put on when they are asleep. Little boys like it too!!!
Colour each finger and toenail with a different colour polish. For the best effect, use strong primary colours! Hot pink or red, really stands out!! You are guaranteed to create giggles especially with the kids!!
If you would like to feel a true sense of a celebration, bring over a packet of ball ns, tie them everywhere around the house, inside and out. Enjoy everyday as a party, a celebration of life! Create "FUN" for your soul.
What to pack...
when bringing your own linen
Tea towels, hand towels for kitchen and bathroom, table cloths or mats if desired, bath towels and face washers, at least 2 bath mats, single or king size sheets and pillow slips
EXTRAS to pack
Any medication or first aid you may require
Personal insect repellent mozzie coils RAID refills for Raid Lantern (for mozzies) which is supplied for you and tea light candles so you can get extra mileage from the refil discs.
BIG TIP!!!! 
Don't bring too many clothes, you won't need them!!
